SERCEB Policy, Ethics and Law Core
megan.davidson@duke.edu Megan serves as Program Coordinator for the SERCEB Policy, Ethics and Law (PEL) Core, a multidisciplinary committee of faculty and experts in philosophy, bioethics, public health, and law. The PEL Core is a component of the Southeast Regional Center of Excellence for Biodefense and Emerging Infections, one of ten such regional centers established by the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease to develop new vaccines, therapeutics and diagnostics for emerging infections and bioterror threats. SERCEB is composed of six universities (Duke, Emory, and Vanderbilt Universities; and the Universities of Alabama at Birmingham, Florida, and North Carolina), and more than twenty affiliated institutions and research facilities. Prior to her work with the SERCEB PEL Core Megan served as an analyst in non-profit global technology and learning initiatives. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000.
